Dr. Dahmus was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Following his graduation from Pennsylvania State University, he completed his Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology in 1976 and received his Medical Degree from Hershey Medical Center in 1980. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Dahmus has had several teaching appointments with the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He is the Consulting Orthopedic Surgeon for the Lower Dauphin School District.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Dahmus has a special interest in Sports Medicine and joint replacement surgery, along with general Orthopedics.

He has lived in the Hummelstown area for the last 32 years with his wife and four children.
